This is Dodge. His owners are good friends of mine.
Ande’ and Rick provide him a loving home. I met them obstacle racing at a Spartan Race. If you haven’t ran in the mud before, I HIGHLY recommend it. He does all sorts of crazy antics.
On Facebook, his mom proudly posts all the activities he does. From all the snuggles he gives to the usual games he plays. One of his new favorite things to do is to stair and very slowly get closer and closer. When he gets close enough, he attacks with kisses.
He spends a good portion of his days at work with his mom. Ande’ is a veterinarian at South Creek Animal Hospital in Manteno, Illinois. In dire situations Dodge is known to give blood to other animals in need. He is a true k-9 hero. He also really enjoys the canned food he gets afterwords.
Some of his favorite foods include blueberries and raspberries. His favorite game to play is hide’n seek with his dad. Dodge is so smart, he will check all the usual spots first, before looking in new ones.
I had a great time meeting Dodge for our photo session. He welcomed me into his home and was so polite. You can tell he was well trained. He loved the new cheesy puff snack that Ande’ had gotten from one of those mail order surprise boxes. During the session the crumbs would get all over him.
This being my first full session with just animals, I was surprised how much he enjoyed it. Overall, I absolutely fell in love with Dodge. It would be hard for anyone not to. After the session, he walked me to the door and gave me a great goodbye. When he was first brought home he was a bit rambunctious, but he is proof that a little patience, a lot of love, and consistent training can turn any dog into a good boy. Remember Dodge, your mom loves you to the moon and back.
